From the Suggestion Box:
Hey, I went to the library and saw a whole heap of stacked chairs that look like they might be about to be thrown out. I'd like to suggest that you don't waste the chairs, as it is quite expensive for students to buy new chairs from a place like officeworks. So I recommend that you either use those chairs elsewhere in the uni, or give them away to charity, or to students in need, or sell them to students.
Many thanks for providing feedback to the library.
You will be pleased to know that the chairs will not be disposed of.
All useable chairs are redistributed within the University or placed in storage until they are required.
The first batch of chairs that we removed (80 in total) were immediately recycled to other buildings in the University.
I hope you like the new chairs that we have purchased to replace the existing stock.
These chairs are much more flexible and can be easily adjusted to suit the needs of individual users.
