To whom it may concern, I am a language student who studies Japanese and French here at JCU and I've found that this year, the language input option on the library computers is missing. In previous years I was able to use the library computers to type assignments and study notes however this year none of the computers that I have logged on to have the language input bar and these settings are blocked from being changed in control panel. It would be a great help if the settings could please be changed so that language students can type in the language they are studying.Thank you in advance.
The Region and Language option was indeed not available in the Control Panel however it was still accessible on the taskbar (EN). If you right click this icon you can get at the settings and the language bar. From there you add the language that you need. IT&R have now rectified this so it should now also appear under the control panel applets that students have access to.
I hope this resolves your issue.
